Is it better to eat the whole fruit rather than a smoothie?
It’s really important that we aim to eat 5 portions of whole fruit and vegetables each day. Many of us find this difficult but our good ‘n ‘go Fruit & Oat Smoothies are an easy way of achieving one of your 5 a day!
Can I take the Smoothies on a plane?
Yes you can; the pouches will be perfectly safe on a plane! If you are putting them in your suitcase, it’s a good idea to pop them in a plastic bag, just in case they get squashed! And if you are taking them in your hand luggage, it’s a possibility that they will be classed as a liquid – it’s always a good idea to contact your airline before you fly.
Why don’t the Juvela good ‘n’ go Fruit & Oat Smoothies need to be stored in the fridge before opening?
We don’t use any preservatives or artificial ingredients in any of our foods, but the cooking processes and innovative pouch packaging keeps the Smoothies fresh without needing to put them in the fridge. However, if you prefer to eat them chilled, simply pop them in the fridge for a quick chill!
Is the Juvela good ‘n’ go packaging recyclable?
Fruit & Oat Smoothies – plastic outer with aluminum inner layer which keeps the contents fresh. Unfortunately, the pouches are not recyclable; however, the cap is! The good news is as the packaging is lightweight, less energy is needed to transport them (compared to other types of packaging).
Crispbread – cardboard outer and inner paper bag are all fully recyclable.
Soft Oat Bars - unfortunately not, as it is not currently feasible for us to use biodegradable plastic in the production of the wrappers. Regrettably, these materials are not widely recyclable in the UK at the moment, however most large retail stores will have a plastic film recycling bin which you can choose to use.
